The result? A sold-out, history-making night that left audiences asking the obvious question: When are you bringing it back? WHY IT HAD TO RETURN The answer is demand, ambition, and belief. The Native Philharmonic Experience returns for its second edition on 28 March 2026 at Maitisong Theatre, and this time it arrives louder in purpose. “We brought it back because there was demand for us to do the show again. It was sold out last year,” said lead vocalist Tomeletso Sereetsi in an interview. This isn’t nostalgia, it’s unfinished business.

The third edition of Too Young to be this Old, a comedy show written and directed by Triccs, proved to be a massive success. The artist will perform at Game City Parkade on April 5. The Nigerian artist joins a stellar lineup that includes Dr Tumi from South Africa and Agape Songs from Tanzania, among others. Ebuka Songs is known for his soul-lifting gospel tracks. His songs often focus on themes of faith, resilience, and serving God. Explaining the concept behind the show, organiser Eliphus Lesedi revealed that Under One Roof is not just a name but a concept derived from the biblical principle of Oneness. "That is to say, one God, one people. This event seeks to bring Africa and the world under one sitting in worship and praise. The composition of artists of the day was done in a way that it covered different genres of the Gospel, in different languages, and from different countries," he explained.

The disc jockey (DJ) space has in the past been dominated by males, but more women have broken the glass ceiling and made their mark in this arena. Female DJs often struggle with recognition and inclusion over their male counterparts. However, with the constant rise of female DJs, some significant changes have taken place where the women even invest on their crafts and study the art of DJ-ing. “There is substantial growth on this space for women, and maybe 30% of women DJs nowadays enjoy to be behind the decks, but there is still more males doing it,” acknowledged YDJ Academy director Leatile ‘Ydj’ Rapoo. Rapoo, an experienced DJ and music producer, whose career has spanned over 20 years, said they had received a lot of female students who were currently doing well in the industry. Compared to the past years, Rapoo said the female turnover at his academy is high. "We give lessons to everyone, and we give everyone a chance and support them equally regardless of gender,” he added.

Her namesake, 18-year old Margaret Nasha, also from Otse, proved to have what it takes to win the Miss Teen Botswana crown. The young Nasha's victory was influenced by her brilliance, passion and confidence. She indeed had a good fight towards winning the crown among other equally beautiful and talented competitors. Her project, 'Kagiso Lapeng' aiming to combat gender-based violence (GBV) has come at the right time where GBV has become a great concern in the country with high cases of intimate partners brutally killing each other.

Eighteen-year-old Margaret Nasha from Otse has been crowned Miss Teen Botswana 2025 in a dazzling competition held on Saturday in Gaborone. The event, which brought together some of the most talented and confident young women in the country, saw Anke Nkwe claim the first princess title, while Vanessa Stegling was named second princess. Nasha’s victory was attributed to her passion, confidence, and eloquence, particularly showcased during the presentation of her project, Kagiso Lapeng. The initiative is dedicated to combating gender-based violence (GBV) by raising awareness and providing support to affected individuals. Her strong advocacy for the cause, coupled with her poise and intelligence, made her stand out among the contestants.
