The artistic choir includes a group of professors and students from the Anfa Music Institute, led by Maestro Said Alaoui Al-Azizi, and to celebrate the spirit of the late Professor Mustafa Saud during his great contribution to the establishment of the clarinet department for children and adults within one year at the Music Institute affiliated with the Anfa Cultural Complex. The director of the Anfa Cultural Complex Music Institute, Mustafa Al-Tijani, stressed in his opening speech for the artistic ceremony the reasons for creating an Arabic music choir in the complex in line with the internal law for organizing music institutes in Al-Maqrab, as well as providing the opportunity for the institute’s students to benefit from music training with the choir.

Rwandan Afrobeat sensation Chriss Eazy has unveiled a highly anticipated European tour, with a lineup of electrifying performances across multiple countries. The tour, organized by Team Production, will see him share the stage with Nigerian star Joeboy for the first time. The tour kicks off on April 26, 2025, in Poland, where Chriss Eazy will perform in the city where his partner resides. Naija News reports that the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has brought charges against Okoye for laundering a total of ₦1.38 billion, $1 million, and £34,537.59. He entered a plea of “not guilty” to these charges and was initially placed in the Ikoyi correctional facility by Judge Alexander Owoeye of the federal high court in Ikoyi, Lagos. During the proceedings on Friday, the defense submitted a bail application, which the prosecution contested with an affidavit asserting that Okoye is a potential flight risk and might tamper with witnesses.

Popular Kumawood actor and filmmaker Kwadwo Nkansah, also known as LilWin, has encouraged his fellow actors to take charge of their careers by venturing into production and directing rather than waiting for acting roles. In an interview with Graphic Showbiz, he highlighted the lack of investment as a major challenge, forcing many filmmakers, including himself, to fund their own projects. “At the moment, our industry is struggling mainly due to a lack of investment. This has forced some of us to finance our own film productions,” he said. The Ghana Academy of Film and Television Arts (GAFTA) has distanced itself from a petition calling for the removal of Kafui Danku and James Gardiner as Executive Secretary and Deputy Executive Secretary of the National Film Authority (NFA). GAFTA’s President, Dr. Jim Fara Awindor, confirmed that while three executives referenced in the petition—George Bosompim, Jim Awindor, and Linus Abraham—are indeed GAFTA members, they have denied any involvement. “Three names appearing on the list—George Bosompim, Jim Awindor, and Linus Abraham—belong to GAFTA but are not privy to such a petition. The members are not aware of such a petition, never discussed nor signed it,” Dr. Awindor stated.
