The Tanzania Singeli Music Association (TASIMA) Chairman, Mr Massoud Kandoro—better known by his stage name Kandoro Baba—outlined the key challenges facing the genre.

Renowned Tanzanian musician Harmonize has announced a two-day talent search aimed at discovering and nurturing emerging artistes in his hometown, Mtwara and Lindi. The initiative, set to take place just before Eid Mosi, will offer young talents a platform to showcase their musical abilities in Southern Tanzania. Set to be held at Rwangwa, Lindi, on March 27, 2025, followed by Mtwara Mjini on March 28, 2025 with Master J, Lulu Diva, Wema Sepetu, DJ Seven, Kimambo and BBoy as judges.
