Hana Shiha

Movie Artist

Hana Shiha is a well‑established Egyptian actress known for her work in both film and television. She was born into an artistic family and raised with a deep appreciation for the arts because her father, Ahmed Shiha, is a respected painter and her mother is Lebanese. Encouraged from a young age, she pursued formal training in acting and directing at the Academy of Arts in Cairo, grounding her craft in theater and performance. She began her screen career while still a student, appearing in popular Egyptian TV series in the early 2000s, and quickly expanded into cinema with roles that showcased her versatility — from youth dramas to more nuanced adult characters. Hana has been part of many successful productions that resonated with Egyptian and Arab audiences, and over the years she’s become known for portraying both emotionally grounded and complex figures on screen.

Pushing for creatives to be Tourism Ministers needless — Dumelo

Renowned actor and Member of Parliament for Ayawaso West Wuogon, John Dumelo, has addressed recent calls from stakeholders in the creative sector advocating for industry players to be appointed as Ministers of Tourism, Arts, and Culture. Dumelo contends that such positions should not be reserved exclusively for creatives. In a conversation with Graphic Showbiz, Dumelo emphasized that the role requires visionary leadership dedicated to advancing the welfare of the sector, regardless of the individual's background. He stated, "What is more important is to be visionary and seek the welfare of the players you represent at the ministry. Who can best represent the ideals and goals, and equally understand the policies of the sector? That’s what is important to me and not whether the person is a Creative or not."
