Liberian-born Artist, Mvsoo, Wins Grammy Award

Liberian-born singer and songwriter Mvsoo (pronounced “Moos”) has achieved a significant milestone in his musical career by winning his first Grammy Award at the 2025 Grammy Awards. He was recognized for his role as a co-writer on Chris Brown’s track “Sensational,” which features Nigerian artists Davido and Lojay. The song was part of Chris Brown’s 11th studio album, “11:11,” released on October 20, 2023. “Sensational” was nominated in the Best African Music Performance category, a testament to its blend of R&B and Afrobeat elements. The track competed against other notable songs, including “Tomorrow” by Yemi Alade, “MMS” by Asake and Wizkid, “Higher” by Burna Boy, and “Love Me JeJe” by Tems.
