Nollywood actor and filmmaker Lateef Adedimeji has discussed his journey before becoming famous and his married life. During an emotional interview with media personality Chude Jideonwo, he recounted how his mentor in the Yoruba film industry warned him that he would not succeed within a year. However, the actor remained calm and asked his boss for two years to show what he could achieve. Lateef Adedimeji talked about how his wife, whom he has been married to for nearly four years, faces online bullying and is called barren because they haven’t had a child yet. He mentioned that Mo Bimpe often shares the hurtful messages she receives on social media. Lateef also pointed out that some colleagues who promised to help him with his project, Lisabi, did not support him. Fortunately, his wife was there for him and helped lift his spirits.
Nollywood actress Tonto Dikeh has sent out an appeal to Yoruba people on Instagram, begging them to use the English language while fighting on the app. Dropping the appeal via her Instagram story, the actress stressed the importance of her appeal, saying people on the app who do not understand Yoruba need to know who is winning their fights. She also got Ghanaians involved, saying they are as guilty as Yoruba people. She noted that not everyone on the app understands their language, therefore they need to be considerate while engaging in their fights. She wrote, “Dear Yoruba people, Abeg, when una dey try to fight (especially for this Obasanjo app), make una try dey fight with English. "How we want take know who dey win fight. "Ghana people una dey this Whatsapp group too. "Make una they fight with English. "All love from a vawulence prefect”. South Korean actress Kim Sae-ron, celebrated for her compelling performances from a young age, was found dead at her home in Seongdong-gu, Seoul, on Sunday. She was 24. A friend discovered her body after Kim failed to attend a scheduled meeting. Authorities have found no signs of foul play and are investigating the circumstances surrounding her death. Born in 2000, in Seoul, Kim embarked on her acting career at the tender age of nine. She gained international recognition with her role in “A Brand New Life” (2009), which was showcased at the Cannes Film Festival, making her one of the youngest actors to be invited to the event. Her portrayal in “The Man From Nowhere” (2010) further solidified her status as a rising star in Korean cinema. The actress transitioned seamlessly from child roles to more complex characters. Notable performances include “The Neighbor” (2012) and “A Girl at My Door” (2014).
Popular Nigerian TikToker and social media personality, Oloba Salo, has accused singer Naira Marley and his associates of being responsible for a shooting incident that left him hospitalized three months ago. Salo made the shocking revelation in a viral TikTok video on Wednesday, alleging that the singer and his group were behind the attack that occurred in October 2024 in the Lekki area of Lagos State. Naija News recalls that the social media personality was hospitalized in October after sustaining gunshot injuries to his legs.

Nigerian media personality, Noble Igwe, has criticized women over the use of wig frontals. Naija News reports that Noble made his observations about frontals in a post via his Instagram page on Wednesday. He stated no matter how much money is spent to lay wig frontals, it makes women look tacky after leaving the saloon. According to Noble, frontals make women look untidy with the lace showing, fake baby hair almost touching their brows and thick-curled sideburns. The media personality said he is speaking for a lot of people who do not have the courage to tell women. He wrote, “Once you leave the saloon and take off the band, we all can see the lace. Once it’s more than a day, we can see the lace lifting and the glue. Three days later we can see lace, the glue and your natural hair from the back. It does not matter how much you spent on it. It will always look tacky.

Egyptian director and screenwriter Samy El-Siwi, 75, passed away in the early hours of Sunday. Born in 1949, El-Siwi began his career as an assistant director on several TV series, including A Trip in a Crazy World (1986), Spring in Storm (1988), Me, You, and a Long Journey (1989), Men in the Trap (1989), and There’s a Man in Our House (1995). He collaborated with director Radwan El-Kashef in screenwriting some of his films, including Why, Violets? (1993), starring Farouk El-Fishawy, and The Magician (2002), starring Mahmoud Abdel Aziz. He also co-wrote Ard Ard (1998) with director Ismail Morad, which stars Farouk El-Fishawy, Elham Shahin, Ashraf Abdel Baky, and Hassan Hosny.
