Actor C Confion passes on while battling illness at KATH

Ghanaian actor and comedian Bright Owusu, popularly known as C Confion, has passed away while undergoing treatment at the Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) in Kumasi. His management team, Akabenezer Production, confirmed the news in a press statement released on December 20, 2024. They expressed gratitude to fans and well-wishers for their support during his illness, stating, "We tried our possible best to do what we can to save his life, but unfortunately, he left us." C Confion gained prominence through his comedic roles alongside popular skit actor Dr. Likee, earning admiration for his humor and relatable performances. His contributions to the skit industry helped establish him as a household name in Ghana’s entertainment scene. Prior to his passing, his management had called for prayers and support, urging the public to avoid unverified speculation about his health. In a conversation with DJ Slim on Daybreak Hitz Ras Kuuku expressed his disagreement with the TGMA’s Board’s decision to limit the gospel categories to only gospel musicians. Responding to why people like him will not be allowed to compete in the gospel categories, he questioned if Nacee is a gospel musician. “Nacee is not a gospel musician, Nacee is a producer,” he noted. When DJ Slim pointed out that Nacee has produced and performed many gospel songs, Ras Kuuku indicated that that Nacee has also produced secular songs like ‘Kwen Kwen’, a song he composed for the National Democratic Congress political party.
