Celebrated South African award-winning musician Wouter Kellerman at the 67th Grammy Awards won his third award from the prestigious Hollywood awards, in the category of Best New Age, Ambient or Chant Album. He tells IOL entertainment this year's win feels absolutely surreal and deeply meaningful. " 'Triveni' is an album rooted in healing and spiritual connection, and seeing it recognized at this level is incredibly rewarding. "The collaboration between South African, Indian, and Japanese musical traditions made it a truly unique project and I'm especially grateful for the journey with Chandrika Tandon and Eru Masumoto. The album "Triveni" is a powerful collaboration with Indian vocalist Tandon and Japanese cellist Matsumoto, it seamlessly blends elements of new age, chant and world music to create a transcendent experience for listeners. Japan, India and South Africa, a true cultural collaboration driven by the shared vision of creating music that uplifts and heals.

Nigerian comedian Ghe Ghe recently sparked debate with his views on modern relationships during an appearance on the "Honest Brunch" podcast, hosted by Nedu Wazobia. Ghe Ghe expressed that marriage has shifted from being a partnership to a means for many women to escape poverty or secure financial stability. He stated, "Marriage today is like a trap. It’s often just a way for women to escape poverty or find someone to fund their lifestyle. Men need to think carefully before walking into this financial burden." Nedu challenged Ghe Ghe by referencing his parents’ marriage, but Ghe Ghe maintained that the institution of marriage has evolved significantly over the years. He explained, "Back then, marriage was a partnership. Women were pillars of support, managing the home, farming, and raising the family while men took on leadership roles. Now, it’s a different story. The dynamic has changed, and not necessarily for the better."

After alleged unsuccessful attempts to contact her directly, Mame Mactar Gueye issued a public warning through Feeling Dakar, a Senegalese media platform focusing on politics, entertainment, and business news, emphasizing the need to uphold the country’s moral, religious, and cultural standards.
