Confusion arose on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, after renowned journalist Afia Pokuaa, popularly known as Vim Lady, shared on social media that Kofi Adoma had been shot in the eye and was responding to treatment at a medical facility. Following the news of the rumoured shooting, Kofi Adoma's wife, Miracle Adoma, also known as Nana Eturba, shared an update on social media, expressing her frustrations about the ongoing rumours. In a Facebook post, she confirmed that she was in Dubai and expressed her gratitude towards the increasing concerns after her husband's alleged shooting. A few hours later, it emerged that Vim Lady's claims about the incident were untrue and that gunpowder from a gun struck Kofi Adoma Nwanwani's face, resulting in severe eye injuries. The incident was reported to have happened in Dormaa, where the Kofi TV CEO had gone to attend a funeral.
Renowned musicians Lawi, Lulu, Kell Kay and Gwamba have organised a music show to raise funds for fellow artist Tay Grin who lost millions of property in a fire accident early this month. According to Lawi, the show dubbed ‘From The Ashes’ will take place on April 5 at Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe. Nigerian artistes Osas Okonyon and Abbey Wonder have released a new single, “All My Love”, to feature in the forthcoming Nollywood movie, ‘EVI’. This was disclosed in a statement signed by Bolaji Ajayi, a publicist, on Saturday in Lagos. The collaborative track, which blends soulful vocals with contemporary Afro-pop elements, serves as part of the official soundtrack for the film and explores themes of devotion, sacrifice and emotional connection. The movie,’EVI’, is produced by Judith Audu, a Nigerian Producer and actress. Speaking on the release, Okonyon described the song as a deeply personal expression crafted to complement the film’s storyline. “‘All My Love’ reflects the emotional journey of the characters in the movie. “It’s about giving wholeheartedly despite challenges, and we wanted listeners to feel that sincerity through the music,” she said.
