Lizzy Anjorin set free as Kwara court dismisses criminal charges against her

Nollywood actress, Chief Elizabeth Anjorin, popularly known as Lizzy Anjorin, has received a clean bill of health after being cleared of all criminal allegations in a high-profile litigation involving her, Saheed Mosadoluwa, aka Ibile, and Harmony Gardens and Estate Development Limited in Ilorin, Kwara State. The case, which was filed as a direct criminal complaint, was heard at the Upper Area Court I in Ilorin, the capital of Kwara State. However, things took a favourable turn for Anjorin as the state Attorney General stepped in, took over the case, and applied for a termination amid proceedings. The presiding judge, Hon. Yunus Kayode, ruled in favour of the Attorney General’s request, which resulted in the case's automatic dismissal.

The future of "Saw XI" is currently uncertain as “zero progress” has been made on the next installment since writing partners Patrick Melton and Marcus Dunstan turned in a draft back in the spring of 2024. “We haven’t heard anything since May,” says Saw XI screenwriter Melton, who has been involved with the franchise since 2007’s Saw IV. “It’s stalled at a managerial level. It has nothing to do with the creative or anything else. There’s higher-level things at play.” In late December 2023, Lionsgate announced that franchise mainstay Kevin Greutert was attached to direct "Saw XI" for a September 2024 release, but the studio ultimately delayed it by a year to September 26, 2025.

Nigerian singer, Oludipe David, popularly known as Spyro, has thrown shade at music executive, Ubi Franklin, as he shows off his material blessings from God. Naija News reported that the ‘Who’s Your Guy’ crooner, during an interview on ‘The Link Up’ podcast, accused Ubi of Using Davido to scam him. He claimed that Franklin refused to pay him after the event despite agreeing to pay him $5,000 for the performance. Responding to Spyro’s allegations, Franklin claimed he withheld the money because the singer also owed him some money. The music executive claimed that Spyro was supposed to pay him 10 percent for facilitating his recent car purchase.
