Nigerian actor and comedian Bovi has opened up about his reasons for enrolling his children in boarding schools abroad instead of in Nigeria. Speaking during his recent interview on the Uncolured Podcast, Bovi explained that the decision, while initially accidental with his son, stemmed from his concerns about bullying and the potential negative impact of the Nigerian boarding school system. My kids don't live in the country anymore; they've been in the UK. At first, it started by accident and my son was in boarding school. I know what boarding school did for me here; it made me street smart. He emphasised his desire to shield his children from such experiences, stating that he did not want a situation where he'd have to fight another child or his parents for bullying his own child.

Movies like Living in Bondage (1992), a two-part drama directed by Chris Obi Rapu, written by Kenneth Nnebue and Okechukwu Ogunjiofor, produced by Ogunjiofor, and Glamour Girls (1994) became huge successes, paving the way for the industry’s growth. Over the years, Nollywood has evolved, embracing higher production values and more diverse narratives, capturing the attention of global audiences and streaming giants like Netflix and Amazon.

Alamuni El Hub (They Taught Me Love, 1957). Every era, and every decade, carries its own melody, echoing the wild, chaotic, and at times, the meaningful moments that defined it. It might seem strange to think that years can be captured in just one song or lyric. But just as we remember people through a few impactful words or actions, life, too, can be felt through a single song that touches us deeply. In 1977, the Bee Gees released Stayin’ Alive (1977), a track that captured a defining cultural moment—the rise of disco fever and a worldwide craving for excitement and escape, set against the backdrop of soaring economic struggles.
