Mr Drew finally breaks silence on 'Eat' track controversy

Ghanaian Afrobeat singer Mr Drew has finally addressed the controversy surrounding his 2020 hit song 'Eat', featuring dancehall star Stonebwoy. The track, which sampled Rotimi’s song, was pulled down from YouTube and other streaming platforms over copyright concerns. Reflecting on the issue five years later in an interview on Hitz FM, Mr Drew attributed the mishap to his former management’s failure to obtain clearance from Rotimi before the song’s release. This oversight led to the song being flagged and subsequently removed.
