
Trevor Rabin, born in South Africa in 1954, began playing guitar at 12 and formed the band Rabbit in 1972, which was the most successful rock act from South Africa. He later pursued a solo career in London, releasing three albums before moving to Los Angeles in 1982. Rabin joined the progressive rock group Yes, contributing as a guitarist and songwriter to the influential album 90125, along with Big Generator and Talk, before leaving in 1994 to focus on film composing. He has scored approximately thirty-six films, including notable titles like Con Air and National Treasure, and has received multiple awards, including a Grammy and nine BMI film score awards, as well as a lifetime achievement award from the Temecula Film Festival.
