Tina Mba

Actress

Tina Mba is a Nigerian actress known for her performances in films like Isoken, Bariga Suger, and Okafor's Law. She was nominated for the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role at the 7th Africa Movie Academy Awards and received recognition as "actress of the year" by Pulse in 2017. Mba's acting philosophy involves fully embodying her characters, and she expressed a preference for theatre if compensated equally with film work. Notably, her role as a mother in Isoken reflects societal pressures on marriage. Despite her talents, some critics feel her performances are underappreciated in the industry. She has also been nominated for multiple awards, including Best Actress in a Comedy for Meet the In-Laws at the Africa Magic Viewer's Choice Awards in 2017.

Pape Diouf arrives in Gambia to perform at Fatou Ndeneh’s Hewwi Kerr

Final preparations are underway for Fatou Ndeneh's Hewwi Kerr, the daughter of Ndeneh Faal, with hundreds of family members and friends expected to attend the event tonight, January 15. Senegalese mbalax star Pape Diouf and his band have arrived in the country to perform for Fatou and her husband, Sheikh Sillah, at Dream Maker in Senegambia. "Pape has been a close friend of the Faal family for a long time, so it's no surprise that he's performing at the Hewwi Kerr," a source revealed. According to the source, there is a possibility that Gambian artists might also perform, but the Senegalese mbalax legend will be the main attraction of the evening. Fatou is the first daughter of Ndeneh and Jatou. She is described as polite, friendly, and hardworking. Her husband, originally from Sukuta, currently resides in France.
