The Story Ya Luuka rapper revealed that being signed by someone means that you lose your independence because someone dictates how your career should be. “GNL does not want to be signed, has no interest in being signed, and will never want to be signed. I am an independent artiste all the way through. The only thing I can welcome in my life at this point is a partnership,” he said. GNL added that he started this music career because he did not want to cut off his hair and wanted to do Hip Hop music as a form of expression to provide for his family. “Anything that impinges on my freedom, no way. So I am an independent artiste.”
