Idia Aisien is Nollywood’s next superstar

Award-winning Actress, model, TV host, philanthropist and luxury lifestyle influencer, Idia Aisien, has consistently demonstrated an unshakable determination to succeed. Many know her from her roles on Spice TV and Arise TV, or from her debut acting role as the lead in the remake of the Nollywood classic Nneka The Serpent, a Netflix original, which she nailed. But beyond the spotlight, she is also a driven, goal-oriented woman with a deep passion for humanitarian work. GQ had a chat with Idia to discuss successful career in the entertainment industry and her impactful philanthropic work. GQ: What was your biggest career breakthrough, and how did it change your life? Idia Aisien: My biggest career breakthrough so far would have to be my entrance into ‘Nollywood’—Nigeria’s film industry. In my first movie I played the lead actress in the loved 1994 classic ‘Nneka the Pretty Serpent,’ which aired in cinemas across Nigeria, and on Netflix.
