'I was scared' - Lekzy DeComic on 'The New False' publicity
Ghanaian comedian Lekzy DeComic has opened up about the anxiety he faced while publicizing his comedy show.
The New False, which was held on December 28, 2024.
In an interview on Hitz FM on January 20, 2025, Lekzy, whose real name is Emmanuel Nkansah Ansong, recounted the challenges and fears he encountered during the promotion of the event.
Lekzy revealed that he struggled to secure a venue and eventually settled on the UPSA auditorium.
The choice of venue seemed appropriate, as it was a popular location for political party launches, aligning with the political connotation of his show's title, The New False.
However, the publicity campaign, which included billboards featuring artwork of a man behind a mask, initially failed to generate the expected response.
