Nobat Events Calls Out Ray G For Sabotaging Omega 256 Concert
The rift between Western Ugandan artists Omega 256 and Ray G continues to grow following promoter Nobat Events calling out the latter for sabotaging the former’s concert. Dated 2 May 2025 Omega 256 concert will go down at Lugogo Cricket Oval, one of the biggest venues in the country. During his live broadcast on TikTok Nobat Events, the promoter behind the concert revealed that Ray G was doing everything to see that the show flops by encouraging people not to attend. Nobat’s claims stem from Ray G’s fans flooding his comment section swearing that they would shun the concert as a lesson to Omega to stop disrespecting their artist. Nobat believes they are being influenced by Ray G and without holding back, Nobat Events calls him out, likening him to a poisonous snake that will smile to cover up its evil acts in the background.

Kwadee not a MUSIGA member – 2nd Vice President Abena Ruthy
While some have lashed out at the Musicians Union of Ghana (MUSIGA) for not assisting hiplife musician Kwadee during his low moments, Abena Ruthy, the 2nd Vice President of MUSIGA has indicated that the artiste is not a member of MUSIGA. She however noted that the union has supported Kwadee in the past and intend to do so again on humanitarian grounds. "There was news about Kwadee recently. He is not even a member now. Suubi’s ‘Nalongo’ takes centre stage at Obulo Bwaffe festival/exhibition
“We are looking at the Obulo Bwaffe folklore through a contemporary feminist lens”, Kazungu said. “We are celebrating the power, knowledge and unwavering agency of women.” Sandra Suubi refused a microphone, and for long periods did not say anything. But her gown-like outfit made of woven mats and bark cloth became the centre of attention as the Obulo Bwaffe art festival was launched at the Alliance Française basement on Women’s Day. Suubi, also a musician, was a featured performer at the launch, along with a singer (Afrie) and two spoken-word artists (Zoe and Afroetry). But when her turn came around she adorned the almost 7-foot-tall outfit, stood on a chair, and dared the audience to make of it what they would. She called the whole ensemble (which included herself) Nalongo, which pointed to the mother of the twins in the folk song Twelire Obulo Bwaffe, from which the festival got its name.
