Ndabo Zulu

Born and raised in the Chesterville township just outside of Durban, South Africa, Ndabo Zulu has emerged as one of the most brilliant trumpeters, composers, and musical scholars of his generation. His artistic journey began at the tender age of nine, playing African marimbas and steel drums under the guidance of Brian Clark at the Field Band Foundation. His musical trajectory shifted when he picked up the trumpet under the mentorship of Nkosinathi Hadebe, eventually earning international scholarships that expanded his horizons.
