Moonshine (Collective)

Moonshine is a Montreal-based artist collective, event series, and record label established in 2014 by Pierre Kwenders, Hervé Kalongo, Félix Noé, Steven Michel, and San Farafina. Initially a monthly warehouse party spotlighting contemporary African and Afro-diasporic sounds, it rapidly grew to include events in cities like Paris and Los Angeles. Besides nightlife events, Moonshine launched an apparel brand and a music label, producing collaborative albums. The collective has gained recognition from outlets like Vogue and BET for its contributions to Afro-diasporic music and has received nominations for the Juno Awards in 2022 and 2024.
