Shota Music Artist

Shota (shoba) is a South African singer, producer, and songwriter. Born in 1977, his musical journey began in Durban, where he was born and raised. He later pursued a diploma in music at Natal Technikon in KwaZulu-Natal and worked as a voice lecturer in Ntuzuma township. ​During his studies, Shota collaborated with Thandukwazi "Demor" Sikhosana and Nkosinathi "Black Coffee" Maphumulo to form the group Shana. In 2011, he launched his solo career with the album Afro Rawmantic.
