Mayoro “Yoro” Ndiaye, a musician from Mbacke, Senegal, developed his passion for music in his father's workshop. He was the lead vocalist for the Diourbel regional orchestra from 1993 to 1995 before dropping out of university to focus on his solo career. Yoro gained popularity performing at cultural events across Senegal, later moving to Dakar where he worked at Club Med and released significant tracks in the early 2000s, including "Africa" and "Senegal Dou Fi Y." Yoro gained wider recognition by supporting Youssou N’dour and participating in tours with Les Frères Guissé. His albums, such as Beug Dèm and Nittou Nitt, garnered acclaim, with "Xarit" declared a hit in 2006. By 2009, Yoro had established a strong following in Europe and began touring the U.S. under New African Production, marking him as a prominent figure in the new generation of Senegalese music.
