Marieta Manjate

Overview:

Marieta Manjate is a Mozambican film producer and one of the country's most respected production executives. She has spent more than 25 years working in the Mozambican film and audiovisual industry, coordinating the production of feature films, documentaries, children's productions, radio dramas, and educational media. She has also managed hundreds of community cinema screenings and social awareness film discussions across Mozambique.

She serves as the Executive Director of Promarte, a leading Mozambican audiovisual production company. Through Promarte, she has coordinated productions such as Impunidades Criminosas, Caminhos da Paz, Mabatabata, Kutchinga, and Ancoradouro do Tempo. She is also the President of the Scala Cultural Association, an organization dedicated to preserving Mozambique's cultural heritage through audiovisual storytelling, historical research, and the promotion of Mozambican cinema.

Marieta has gained international recognition within the film festival circuit and has been listed by the International Film Festival Rotterdam as an industry professional, reflecting her growing presence in international cinema.
