Lusanda

Lusanda is an emerging South African R&B and neo-soul singer who first attracted major attention through TikTok covers. Her 2023 stripped-down cover of Outkast's “Hey Ya!” went viral and helped launch her professional music career. Interestingly, music was not initially her career plan. She trained as a classical ballerina from the age of five, played marimba, sang in choirs and later studied choreography at the University of Cape Town. Her background in dance and movement strongly influences the way she approaches music and performance.
