In a discussion on ‘United Showbiz’ on February 2, 2025, MC Yaa Yeboah said she was surprised when she first heard of the appointment, stating that Marilyn Maame Efua Houadjeto is not widely known in the tourism sector. She emphasised that Abeiku Santana has a stronger profile for that position than Maame Efua Houadjeto "When I saw the appointment, I was asking myself who she was because I was trying to get bits and pieces of information about her... Also, I don't know how much of a role she has played in the tourism sector. I was disappointed when I heard she was appointed because I was expecting Abeiku Santana to head this sector. Nigerian musician, Orji Kelechi Obinna George Michael, popularly known by his stage name, Kelly Hansome, has made some stunning allegations against some heavyweights in the music industry. Renowned poet Junior Rumaga has unveiled a monthly poetry event dubbed ‘Siga Siga Sira’ as part of promoting poetry in Rwanda. The first event of its kind took place at Kigali Conference and Exhibition Village (KCEV) on January 31 where the poet led the stage alongside his emerging poetry collective known as ‘Ibyanzu’ and other celebrated poets like Essy Williamz, Saranda Poetess, Viviane Uwababyeyi and No Stress Ntare among others. Speaking to The New Times on Monday, February 3, Rumaga confirmed that the event will be held every month at KCEV. “We noticed that many artists, especially the youth, are returning to the poetry scene.
