Kene Okwuosa is a visionary Nigerian media executive who completely reshaped how West Africans watch movies. As the Group CEO of Filmhouse Group, he built a massive cinema and distribution ecosystem that includes Filmhouse Cinemas, FilmOne Entertainment, and FilmOne Studios.
Okwuosa got his start managing cinemas in the UK before returning home to revolutionize Nollywood. Driven by a passion to give Nigerians world-class viewing experiences, he famously introduced IMAX and MX4D formats to local theaters.
Under his leadership, Filmhouse grew to control half of Nigeria's theater ticket sales. His distribution network has backed the country's most massive box office hits, including The Wedding Party and the record-breaking A Tribe Called Judah. Today, he also serves on the Nigerian Oscars Selection Committee and recently co-founded KAVA, a global streaming platform dedicated to taking local African stories to the world stage.
