Born in Cross River State, Nigeria, Kate Henshaw is the oldest of four siblings. She studied Medical Microbiology at the Lagos University Teaching Hospital and began her career at the Bauchi State General Hospital before making a leap into acting. Her big break came in 1993 when she landed the lead role in When the Sun Sets, which kicked off her impressive journey in Nollywood. In 2008, she won the Africa Movie Academy Award for Best Actress in a Leading Role for her role in Stronger than Pain.
