Karungari Mungai, known as Karun, is a Kenyan singer, songwriter, and producer born on July 7, 1994. She began her music career as a member of the BET-nominated group Camp Mulla, which gained recognition with their single "Party Don't Stop" before disbanding in 2012. Karun then pursued a solo career, initially under the name Lady Karun, releasing her debut album "Sun & Moon" that showcases dualism in her artistry. In 2016, she joined an experimental music collective called Cosmic Homies and later released various singles and EPs focusing on themes like self-love and self-discovery. Karun's music blends alternative R&B with influences from artists such as Alicia Keys and Erykah Badu, characterized by a sultry and meditative sound.
