‘I’m Not A Celebrity’ – Nollywood Actor, Chimezie Imo

Describing 2024 as the most transformative year of his life, Imo said he learnt so much and experienced many changes personally and professionally. He said, Despite his growing fame, Imo maintained that he preferred to be called an actor, not a celebrity. He said, “For me, it has always been about the work. Like I tell people, I am not a celebrity—I am an actor. I love the work, and when people know me for my work and appreciate it, that’s when it means a lot to me. Not just about being recognised as an actor, but when people can point to the work I did and say it means something to them. That’s fulfillment for me.” “2024 has been the most special year for me. It’s been interesting. I learnt so much, and a lot happened to me, both personally and in my career. I think it was my best year yet. “As for my colleagues coming up, I advise them to never stop learning as an actor. I tell myself that too; learning never stops.”
