Ilham Karaoui
ilham’s music is deeply influenced by her experiences as the daughter of Moroccan immigrants in New York City. A Cornell University graduate, she channels her observations of race and class into empathetic songwriting, particularly in her warm R&B style. Her debut project with Def Jam explores new romance through introspection, highlighted by the track “corazon,” a stylish reinterpretation of Cassie's 2006 hit featuring French Montana. Since signing with Def Jam in 2020, ilham has transitioned from performing others' stories to expressing her personal experiences, embracing her unique sound along the way.
