About Artist

Hafiz Oyetoro was born in Iseyin, Oyo State, Nigeria. Raised in a modest family, he developed an early passion for drama and storytelling. His love for the performing arts led him to study Theatre Arts at Obafemi Awolowo University, where he earned his bachelor's degree. He later obtained a master's degree from University of Ibadan and went on to complete a doctorate in Theatre Arts.

Long before becoming a household name, Oyetoro balanced academic life with acting. He built his career through stage productions, television, and Nollywood films while also teaching Theatre Arts. His ability to combine scholarship with entertainment has made him one of Nigeria's most respected actor-educators.

He became nationally famous for portraying the comic character Saka, a nickname that has remained with him throughout his career. His popularity grew even further after starring in the memorable 2013 MTN "I don port o" advertising campaign, which became one of Nigeria's most talked-about commercials. He has since appeared in numerous films, including The Wedding Party, Ojukokoro (Greed), Hustle, and many other Nollywood productions.

Outside acting, Hafiz Oyetoro has spent many years as a lecturer in Theatre Arts at the Lagos State University of Education (formerly Adeniran Ogunsanya College of Education), where he mentors aspiring actors and theatre professionals. His career demonstrates that success in entertainment and academia can go hand in hand.
