Gemma Fassie

Gemma Fassie is a South African singer-songwriter who is building her own identity in the music industry while carrying the famous Fassie family name. Born and raised in Cape Town, she developed a passion for singing during her teenage years, performing at school and local events before pursuing music professionally.

Her sound blends smooth R&B melodies with Afro-pop and contemporary African influences. She draws inspiration from artists such as Tamia, Brandy, H.E.R. and Erykah Badu. She is the niece of the late Brenda Fassie, one of South Africa's most influential pop stars, but is focused on creating a musical identity of her own.
