About Artist

Walukagga Shafik, born on 10 January 1996, is a Ugandan rapper and songwriter who performs under the stage name Fik Fameica, also known as "Fr". Active since 2015, he works primarily in rap and hip hop and is recognized for his vocal delivery and energetic club sound.

Fik Fameica broke through with his 2015 single "Pistol" and quickly built momentum with a string of releases. In 2017 he put out "Kutama", "Byenyenya", "Kachima" and "Sitani Tonkema" featuring Sheebah Karungi. The following year was especially busy: he dropped "Sconto", "My Property", "Tonsukuma", "Tubikole" featuring Vinka, and "Mwaga" featuring Tanzania’s Rayvanny. Tracks like "Mafia", "Property", "Sconto" and "Tonsukuma" became major club hits in Uganda and helped cement his reputation. In 2019 he released "Am Different" and teamed up with Nigerian superstar Patoranking for the song "Omu Bwati", which expanded his reach beyond East Africa.

Along the way he picked up several awards, including recognition at the ZINNA Awards 2018, Buzz Teeniez Awards 2018, and HiPipo Music Awards 2018. His career has also been marked by moments of controversy, though he has remained one of Uganda’s most consistent hitmakers in the rap scene from 2015 to the present.
