BOJ, born Bolaji Odojukan in London, has a unique musical style shaped by his experiences in both the UK and Nigeria. Influenced by artists like Lauryn Hill and Lagbaja, he co-founded DRB LasGidi, pivotal in the Alté movement which emphasizes creativity and freedom in music. Known as a pioneer of this wave, his work blends Afrobeats, R&B, and alternative sounds. His mixtape “BOTM” earned accolades, and subsequent projects continued to solidify his influence. BOJ remains distinct for carving his own path in the industry, contributing significantly to the evolution of Nigerian music even as Afrobeats gains global recognition.
