Anita Macuacua

Anita Macuacua is a Mozambican singer and songwriter known for her expressive vocals, energetic performances and connection to Marrabenta, a popular music genre from Mozambique. She gained recognition through her solo career after initially performing as part of the duo Gitolas and Anita.Anita began singing as an amateur in 1995 and became a professional musician in 2005. One of her early breakthroughs came with the song Wa Nsati, which earned her recognition at Mozambique's Ngoma and Top Feminino music awards. She later established herself with songs including Wansati Uta Lhupheka, Moçambique, Xidossana and Khanimambo Mama.
