About Artist

Amina  bdiri was born in Lyon, France, and began her professional acting journey on stage in 2016, appearing in several theatre productions before moving into television and film.

Her major breakthrough came with ** Insurrection (Essian) (2021)**, directed by Jilani Saâdi. She played Baya, one of the central characters in the film. The story takes place during a night of unrest in Tunis and follows Baya, Mosmar and Oueld Jennet as they encounter an old man while making their way toward the capital.

The film was particularly important for her career because it was her feature-film debut, and the movie received the Bronze Tanit at the Carthage Film Festival. Amina was also the only female character in the film, according to her elCinema biography.

She also made her television debut in ** Awled El Ghoul (Children of El Ghoul) (2021), playing Zina. She subsequently appeared in ** Harga 2 (2022) as Wahiba and in the historical series ** Mu'awiya (2025)**.

Her current screen credits include ** The Swallow (El Khottifa) (2026)**, where IMDb lists her as Qmar.

Beyond film and television, Amina remains active in theatre. In 2026 she was part of the cast of ** Le Quatrième Humain (The Fourth Human) ** at El Teatro Tunis, directed by Taoufik Jebali. The official El Teatro programme lists her alongside Salima Ayari, Arwa Rahali, Hedi Hlal, Mehdi El Kamel and others.

Interestingly, acting is not her only profession. ElCinema describes her as an architect and actress, and an official Tunisian architects' register also lists an architect named Amina Bdiri.
