Applications are now open for the inaugural Chourouk Chimy Encouragement Award for sports journalism, sponsored by the French-language newspaper Al-Ahram Hebdo. Red Panther Music Productions, the record label belonging to artiste manager, Christopher Nelson, popularly known as Mr. Logic, has debunked claims made by former signee, Monique Spence. In a statement issued by the Head of Public Relations, Aaron Martins, he noted that the artiste Monique Spence, popularly known as Mo' Spence, agreed to bear all service and production costs provided by the label until the end of their contract. "Monique Spence professionally signed a managerial contract with the record house, which obliges all services and production costs provided by the label to be borne by the artiste until the end of the duration. "The label secured all necessary visual production arrangements with selected visual production houses. Unfortunately, the artiste has not fulfilled scheduled attendance," the statement read. The statement further noted that the record label bears the cost of where the musician stayed during her stay in the country.
Superstar Afrobeats singer David Adeleke, known as Davido, has taken to social media to drag the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) regarding the ongoing Edo governorship election. In a tweet shared via his verified page on popular microblogging platform X formerly called Twitter, Davido said that INEC is the most dangerous institution in Nigeria.
