Al Shaala organizes a memorial service for the poet Mohammed Aniba Al Hamri
The Al-Mohammadi neighborhood youth center in Casablanca will host a memorial service for the late poet Mohamed Aniba Al-Hamri, on Friday, March 7, at 9:00 p.m. The memorial ceremony, which is hosted by the Grand Hall of the Youth House, is organized by the Al-Sha’la Association, Al-Muhammadi neighborhood branch. The deceased is one of the pioneering poets who left an important poetic impact through many texts and collections that he published from the sixties of the last century until his death in December 2024.

But when her turn came around she adorned the almost 7-foot-tall outfit, stood on a chair, and dared the audience to make of it what they would. She called the whole ensemble (which included herself) Nalongo, which pointed to the mother of the twins in the folk song Twelire Obulo Bwaffe, from which the festival got its name.
