About Artist

El Beniwi developed his interest in acting from an early age. He entered Morocco's Higher Institute of Dramatic Arts and Cultural Animation (ISADAC) in Rabat in 2001 and graduated in 2005. His career has included theatre, Moroccan television and feature films. He has also worked on productions filmed outside Morocco.

One of his early notable international appearances was in The Miscreants (Les Mécréants), the 2011 Moroccan film directed by Mohcine Besri, where he played Abdou. He later appeared in the American television series Homeland, playing Khalid in two episodes in 2020.

His filmography also includes Ghoul, Appel Forcé, La Nuit Ardente, Zettat, Joudia, La marchandise, Kayna Dorouf, Cherbilo, Rihlat Al Omr, Fouk Selk, My Father Is Not Dead, and Mauvais Temps. ElCinema currently lists more than 30 acting credits for him.

In Mauvais Temps (2025), directed by El Ghazouani Madane, Abdenbi El Beniwi is part of the principal cast alongside Hajar Graigaa and other Moroccan actors. The film follows a family whose difficult living situation becomes increasingly complicated after a dispute over an inherited apartment.

He is therefore best described as a Moroccan movie and theatre artist, with a career that connects Moroccan stage productions, local television and cinema with international screen projects. In a 2025 interview, he also discussed his work as a theatre actor and director, showing that his artistic activities extend beyond acting for the camera.
