According to Ugwuonye, 2Baba, by his announcement, knows that he was meant to divorce Annie first before marrying Natasha. He mentioned that the singer did not try to ‘’gaslight the nation with some new-found love for African traditions and polygamy,” a statement many believe is a jab at Yul Edochie, the estranged husband of his client, May. “We heard from 2Face that he is planning to marry Ms. Natasha Osawaru. We admit that a married man can fall out of love with his wife and develop love feelings toward another woman. That is possible. However, such a man, if married under the Marriage Act of Nigeria, must first divorce his current wife before getting married to the second woman.

Musa Mseleku's fifth wife, Samke 'MaKhwela' Khwela, has humorously asserted her place in his life, which has led to playful tensions captured in the reality show Uthando Nes'thembu. Mseleku openly expressed his discomfort with the term 'my man' used by MaKhwela, indicating that it implies ownership, which he rejects, stating, "A man has no owner." This commentary highlights the complex dynamics within their polygamous relationship, where roles and expectations often lead to drama. In addition to this incident, Mseleku previously questioned MaKhwela about her plans for having more children, indicating that one of her primary responsibilities in their marriage, as perceived by him, is to give birth to children. The unfolding narratives within the family evidently reflect both the humor and challenges of polygamous life, particularly as Mseleku navigates his relationships with each of his wives.
