On Sunday, January 19, she shared this video along with additional footage highlighting her holiday experiences with her son, Jamil Balogun, on her Instagram story. The video prompted admiration from many netizens, who praised her youthful appearance despite her being 44 years old. Conversely, some individuals expressed strong disapproval of the video, criticizing its nudity in light of societal expectations for women of her age. They also condemned her for displaying her body in such a manner while on vacation with her son.

Rwandan artiste Victor Rukotana has decided to cut ties with his management I.Music owned by Jean Aime Ishimwe, also known on social media as No Brainer, citing disagreements over certain issues. In a press statement released on his social media platforms on Monday, February 10, Rukotana revealed that his manager’s current relationship with other artistes has only been affecting his music, prompting him to terminate their contract. The artiste emphasized that, while he values artistic collaborations, he believes in respecting different perspectives. “After your [audience’s] comments and seeing how his (Ishimwe’s) relationship with other artistes affect my music, I want to inform the media that I am not working with I.Music anymore due to disagreements over some issues,” he said in a statement, pointing out that he considered the split because “sometimes you have to respect everyone's opinion,” Rukotana stated.

Ghanaian rapper Amerado has made a strong case for his inclusion in the 2024 TGMA Artiste of the Year conversation, describing any discussion that excludes him as a clear show of ignorance about the industry. The rapper, known for his versatility and consistency, took to social media to share his impressive 2024 performance catalogue, highlighting over 80 shows both locally and internationally, hit singles, features, and notable achievements throughout the year. “Artiste of the Year conversation without Amerado under the 2024 year of review is an exposure of ignorance and consequently brutal to the industry and upcoming ones,” he wrote, urging industry stakeholders to take note of his contributions. Amerado’s catalogue lists 70 local shows, including performances at major events such as the MTN Pulse event at KNUST, Afrochella, and the Asafotufiam Festival, as well as 10 international shows across Europe and the United States.

It was Mnqobi Mdabe, popularly known as Shota’s 50th birthday celebration. He doesn’t look a day over 45, hence why it’s a shock for many that he is 50. The talented musician, producer and DJ ventured into the industry, when he, Thandukwazi Sikhosana “Demor” and Nkosinathi Maphumulo “Black Coffee” started a group called Shana. He rose to fame when he released his solo album ‘Afro Rawmantic’ in 2011. The album fuses hardcore dance beats with soulful, sensual singing. The album also includes collaborations with a multitude of artists including DJ Euphonik , Black Coffee and Demor.
Ghanaian reggae-dancehall musician Charles Nii Armah Mensah, popularly known as Shatta Wale, has praised the John Mahama-led NDC government for the reduction in passport application fees. The self-acclaimed dancehall king described the move as a mark of good governance, suggesting that Ghanaians had been exploited in the past. “Mahama Ogbooooo. She emphasized her openness to working with secular artists, stating, “I am ever ready to collaborate with any secular artiste who is willing to make songs with me in the gospel way.” Addressing potential criticism for featuring secular artists, Joyce remarked, “No one has been bold enough to ask me why I feature secular artists.”
